Stephen Youll (born 8 June 1965 in Hartlepool, England) is a British artist and illustrator specializing in science-fiction and fantasy imagery. He initially worked collaboratively with his twin brother, Paul Youll, before moving to the United States in 1989 and continuing independently. His published authored bibliography consists of the art book Paradox: The Art of Stephen Youll.

Stephen Youll is a British science-fiction and fantasy artist born in Hartlepool, England, on 8 June 1965. He is the identical twin brother of artist Paul Youll.

After studying at Durham’s New College and Sunderland University, Youll worked as a historical reconstruction artist at Durham Cathedral. He began creating novel covers in 1987 with a collaboration on Daniel Keys Moran’s Emerald Eyes, then moved to the United States in 1989 and continued independently.

Youll has said that fantastical subjects in films, comics, and paintings drew him toward art. He specifically identified Ridley Scott’s Alien and Predator, along with artists H. R. Giger and Ron Cobb, as major influences.
Youll has received best artist, best in show, and best professional awards at science-fiction and fantasy conventions, and he has earned several Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists nominations. In 1996 he received a gold award for most outstanding cover, and he was the artist Guest of Honor at the 2001 World Science Fiction Convention.
