Roswitha Quadflieg was born in Zürich in 1949, grew up in Hamburg, and lives in Berlin. After studying art, design, illustration, and typography, she founded and ran the Raamin-Presse from 1973 to 2003, producing limited artist's books with original graphics. Since her literary debut in 1985, she has published novels, literary nonfiction, essays, memoirs, theater plays, radio works, and collaborative books.

Roswitha Quadflieg is a writer, book artist, and former publisher, born in Zürich in 1949. She is the daughter of actor Will Quadflieg, studied art in Hamburg, and lives in Berlin.

Quadflieg founded the Raamin-Presse in Hamburg in 1973 and ran it until 2003. The press produced limited-edition bibliophile books featuring her own original graphic work.

Her most widely recognized design and illustration work is Michael Ende’s The Neverending Story, published in 1979. Quadflieg’s two-color typography distinguished the book’s real-world and fantasy settings.
