Publius Ovidius Naso (Ovid) Books in Order
Publius Ovidius Naso (43 BCE–17 CE), known as Ovid, was a major Roman poet of the Augustan age. His career ranged from the erotic elegy of the Amores and Heroides through didactic poems, the mythological epic Metamorphoses, the Roman calendar poem Fasti, and the exile collections Tristia and Epistulae ex Ponto. He also wrote the tragedy Medea, now lost, and other lost or fragmentary works. He was banished to Tomis in 8 CE, where he composed much of his exile poetry.
