Neil Smith is a Canadian writer and translator born in Montreal in 1964. He published his debut short-story collection, Bang Crunch, in 2007, followed by the novels Boo in 2015 and Jones in 2022. His fiction has received the Quebec Writers’ Federation First Book Prize and the Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction, among other nominations. He translates Quebec fiction from French into English.
