Max Tegmark is a Swedish-American physicist and professor of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research spans precision cosmology, quantum information, and the physics of biological and artificial intelligence. He is co-founder and president of the Future of Life Institute, an author of more than two hundred technical papers, and the author of popular-science books exploring the nature of reality and the implications of advanced artificial intelligence.
