José Villarrubia is a Spanish-American artist, photographer, comics colorist, editor, and educator. His work spans fine-art photography, graphic novels, comics restoration, and editorial projects. He has collaborated with Alan Moore, Richard Corben, Paul Pope, and Jeff Lemire, and has taught illustration and sequential art at the Maryland Institute College of Art. His major bibliographic contributions include The Mirror of Love, Hércules 1417, and Portraits: 12 Lives, 12 Journeys.
