Isabel Allende
Isabel Allende was born in Lima, Peru, and grew up in Chile. She began her career as a journalist, left Chile after the 1973 coup, and later became one of the most widely read Spanish-language authors in the world. Her novels and memoirs often blend history, myth, and personal memory.
