Emily M. Danforth is an American novelist born and raised in Miles City, Montana. She holds an MFA in fiction from the University of Montana and a PhD in English-Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Her debut novel, The Miseducation of Cameron Post, won the Montana Book Award and was adapted into a feature film. Her second novel, Plain Bad Heroines, is a sapphic gothic novel. She lives in New England with her wife, Erica.
