As an NYU undergraduate, Vaughan joined Marvel Comics’ Stan-hattan Project, a workshop for aspiring comic-book writers, and earned his first comic-book credit in 1997. His success in comics later led Damon Lindelof to recruit him for Lost after admiring Y: The Last Man.
