Arthur Miller (1915–2005) was an American dramatist whose career spanned more than six decades. He wrote major twentieth-century American plays including All My Sons, Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, A View from the Bridge, After the Fall, The Price, The American Clock, The Ride Down Mt. Morgan, Broken Glass, Resurrection Blues, and Finishing the Picture. He also published reportage, fiction, essays, memoir, screenplays, and collaborative travel books with Inge Morath. Miller served as president of International PEN and received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Tony Awards, and other major honors.
