Alice Oseman is an English author, illustrator, and screenwriter. Oseman is the creator of the LGBTQ+ young adult romance graphic novel series Heartstopper and the author of the contemporary young adult novels Solitaire, Radio Silence, I Was Born for This, and Loveless, as well as the related novellas Nick and Charlie and This Winter. Oseman also writes and produces the television adaptation of Heartstopper.

Alice Oseman is an English author, illustrator, and screenwriter best known as the creator of the LGBTQ+ young adult comic Heartstopper and its Netflix adaptation.
Oseman secured her first publishing deal as a teenager, and her debut novel, Solitaire, was published when she was 19. Heartstopper later began as a webcomic before becoming a published graphic novel and television series.

Oseman has cited The Catcher in the Rye and the contemporary young-adult fiction of the John Green era as influences on her writing. Teen romance manga, Pokémon, and Digimon influenced her art style.
Oseman won the 2021 YA Book Prize for Loveless and the 2023 British Book Awards Illustrator of the Year. In 2026, Oseman received the YA Book Prize Special Achievement Award for Heartstopper.
