William Peter Blatty Books in Order

William Peter Blatty (1928–2017) was an American novelist, screenwriter, film director, and producer. He began as a comic novelist with books including Which Way to Mecca, Jack?, John Goldfarb, Please Come Home!, I, Billy Shakespeare!, and Twinkle, Twinkle, "Killer" Kane!. His 1971 novel The Exorcist became a major bestseller and earned him an Academy Award for its screenplay adaptation. The Exorcist, The Ninth Configuration, and Legion form his thematic Trilogy of Faith. His later fiction included Demons Five, Exorcists Nothing, Elsewhere, Dimiter, and Crazy; he also wrote memoirs and nonfiction about his life, family, and work in film.
