Stan Lee (1922–2018), born Stanley Martin Lieber, was an American comic-book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. His collaborations with artists including Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and John Buscema helped establish Marvel Comics' modern superhero universe. He also wrote nonfiction, memoir, instructional books, novels, poetry, and original graphic works.
