Soman Chainani is an American author and filmmaker, best known for The School for Good and Evil fantasy series. His books have sold more than 4.5 million copies, been translated into 35 languages, and inspired a Netflix feature film. He is also the author of Beasts & Beauty: Dangerous Tales, Coven, The Princess Game, and Young World, a political thriller. Chainani graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University and earned an MFA in Film from Columbia University.
