Seamus Deane Books in Order

Seamus Deane (1940–2021) was an Irish poet, novelist, literary critic, and intellectual historian from Derry. He taught at University College Dublin and the University of Notre Dame, co-founded the Field Day Theatre Company, and served as general editor of The Field Day Anthology of Irish Writing. His work combined literary criticism, cultural history, postcolonial analysis, and poetry. His novel Reading in the Dark was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and won major Irish and British literary awards.
