Sandra Cisneros Books in Order
Sandra Cisneros was born in Chicago in 1954 and is one of the most influential Chicana writers in American literature. Her work spans poetry, novels, short stories, essays, memoir, bilingual picture books, and novellas, often exploring family, migration, gender, language, home, and cultural identity. She is best known for The House on Mango Street, Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories, Caramelo, and her poetry collections. Cisneros has received the American Book Award, a MacArthur Fellowship, the National Medal of Arts, and the PEN/Nabokov Award for Achievement in International Literature.
