Robert A. Caro is an American journalist, historian, and biographer. After working as an investigative reporter for Newsday, he wrote The Power Broker, a Pulitzer Prize-winning biography of Robert Moses. He then began The Years of Lyndon Johnson, a projected five-volume biography of the president, of which four volumes have been published. His memoir Working describes his methods and experiences as a researcher and writer.
