Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse (1881–1975) was an English-born author who became an American citizen. Over a long career he wrote more than seventy novels, numerous short-story collections, memoirs, essays, poems, plays, musical-comedy libretti, and screen material. His recurring worlds include Bertie Wooster and Jeeves, Blandings Castle, Psmith, Ukridge, Mr. Mulliner, the Drones Club, and golfing stories.
