Nina Baym Books in Order

Nina Baym (1936–2018) was an American literary critic and literary historian who taught English at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her scholarship focused on nineteenth-century American literature, women writers, fiction, nonfiction prose, and literary culture. She served as general editor of The Norton Anthology of American Literature and wrote influential studies of American women writers, literary history, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and the American West.
