Nick Hornby (born 1957) is an English novelist, essayist, memoirist, and screenwriter. His books include Fever Pitch, High Fidelity, About a Boy, How to Be Good, A Long Way Down, Slam, Juliet, Naked, Funny Girl, State of the Union, and Just Like You. His nonfiction includes 31 Songs, the Stuff I've Been Reading essay collections, and Dickens and Prince. He wrote screenplays including An Education, Brooklyn, and Wild, and created the television series State of the Union.
