Nassim Nicholas Taleb is a French-Lebanese-American essayist, scholar, statistician, and former derivatives trader. His work combines mathematical research, philosophical essays, and practical analysis of probability, risk, model error, and systems that benefit from disorder. He is the author of the five-volume Incerto, Dynamic Hedging, and Statistical Consequences of Fat Tails, and has written extensively on applied probability and risk management.
