Marlon James is a Jamaican-born novelist, born in Kingston in 1970. His novel A Brief History of Seven Killings won the 2015 Man Booker Prize and other major literary awards. His fiction also includes John Crow's Devil, The Book of Night Women, Black Leopard, Red Wolf, Moon Witch, Spider King, and the forthcoming novel The Disappearers. Black Leopard, Red Wolf and Moon Witch, Spider King are the first two published volumes of his Dark Star trilogy.
