Leonard J. Stanton taught Russian language, literature, and culture at Louisiana State University and was an associate professor of Russian. He earned a Ph.D. in Russian literature from the University of Kansas. His research focused on Russian religious philosophy, Dostoevsky, Gogol, and theories of language and the word.
