Laura Ingalls Wilder Books in Order

Laura Ingalls Wilder (1867–1957) was an American writer whose childhood memories, family history, and experiences as a homesteader became the basis for the Little House novels. Before publishing books, she wrote extensively about rural life for the Missouri Ruralist and other periodicals. Her book-length works include eight novels published during her lifetime, posthumous memoirs and unfinished fiction, and collections of her journalism and autobiographical writings. Several Little House books were developed in collaboration with her daughter, Rose Wilder Lane.
