Kameron Hurley is an American science fiction and fantasy author whose work includes novels, short fiction, essay collections, and nonfiction about writing and publishing. Her major fiction includes the Bel Dame Apocrypha, the Worldbreaker Saga, The Stars Are Legion, and The Light Brigade. She has won two Hugo Awards, the British Science Fiction Award, the Locus Award, and the Sydney J. Bounds Award, and has been a finalist for the Arthur C. Clarke, Nebula, and Gemmell awards. Hurley holds a bachelor's degree in historical studies from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and a master's degree in history from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, specializing in South African resistance movements.
