Kahlil Gibran Books in Order

Kahlil Gibran was born in Bsharri, in Ottoman Lebanon, and immigrated to the United States as a child. He developed a bilingual literary career, publishing Arabic poetry, fiction, essays, and plays before becoming internationally known for English-language prose poetry, parables, aphorisms, and philosophical writing. His works frequently explore spirituality, love, freedom, nature, social injustice, and the relationship between Eastern and Western cultures. He also produced drawings and paintings, including the illustrations for many of his English books. His best-known work, The Prophet (1923), became one of the most widely read works of twentieth-century inspirational literature.
