Justin Cronin is an American writer and Rice University writer-in-residence. A graduate of Harvard University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he is the author of the novella A Short History of the Long Ball, the short-story collection Mary and O’Neil, and the novels The Summer Guest, The Passage, The Twelve, The City of Mirrors, and The Ferryman. His honors include the PEN/Hemingway Award, the Stephen Crane Prize, a Whiting Writers’ Award, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Pew Foundation.
