Jon Kabat-Zinn is a professor emeritus of medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the founder of its Stress Reduction Clinic and Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society. His research and teaching helped bring mindfulness meditation into mainstream medicine, psychology, education, and public life. He developed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and has written extensively on mindfulness, meditation, stress, chronic pain, illness, parenting, healing, and social transformation.
