John Kilian Houston Brunner was a prolific British writer whose career began with Galactic Storm in 1951 and encompassed science fiction, fantasy, thrillers, contemporary fiction, poetry, erotica, and short-story collections. He wrote under several pseudonyms, including Gill Hunt and Keith Woodcott, and frequently explored overpopulation, ecology, race, technology, social change, and political extremism.
