Sir Israel Gollancz (1863–1930) was a British philologist and literary scholar, professor of English at King's College London, founding secretary of the British Academy, and director of the Early English Text Society. He edited major medieval English texts, produced influential Shakespeare editions, translated Pearl into modern English, and established the Temple Shakespeare and related series.
