Ibram X. Kendi is the Carter G. Woodson Endowed Chair in History at Howard University and the inaugural director of Howard's Institute for Advanced Study. He is a National Book Award-winning historian and author whose work examines racism, antiracism, racial policy, Black history, education, and social justice. His books for adults and young readers include The Black Campus Movement, Stamped from the Beginning, How to Be an Antiracist, How to Raise an Antiracist, Malcolm Lives!, and Chain of Ideas. He is also a MacArthur Fellow.
