Hannu Rajaniemi (born 1978 in Ylivieska, Finland) is a Finnish science-fiction author, mathematical physicist, and entrepreneur. He holds degrees from the University of Oulu, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Edinburgh, where he earned a PhD in mathematical physics. His fiction includes the Jean le Flambeur trilogy, the alternate-history novel Summerland, the biotech thriller Darkome, and several collections of short fiction.
