Eric Selland is an American poet, translator, and visual artist living in Tokyo. His poetry includes experimental and hybrid works that combine prose, notebook fragments, appropriated text, and visual elements. He translates from Japanese and has translated fiction and poetry, including Takashi Hiraide's The Guest Cat. He has also written on Japanese modernist poetry and translation theory.
