Edward S. Herman (1925–2017) was an American economist, finance professor, media scholar, and social critic. He taught at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and co-developed the propaganda model of mass media with Noam Chomsky. His books addressed banking, corporate power, U.S. foreign policy, political violence, propaganda, and the media.
