E. Lockhart is the pen name of Emily Jenkins, an American writer of young adult novels and graphic fiction. Her books include the Ruby Oliver quartet, We Were Liars, Family of Liars, We Fell Apart, Genuine Fraud, Again Again, The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks, and Whistle: A New Gotham City Hero. She holds a doctorate in English literature from Columbia University, specializing in the nineteenth-century British novel.
