Dmitry Glukhovsky (born 1979 in Moscow) is a Russian-Israeli novelist, journalist, and screenwriter. His fiction spans post-apocalyptic science fiction, dystopia, urban fantasy, thriller, crime fiction, satire, and socially engaged literary fiction. He is best known for the Metro trilogy, which began as an online novel in 2002 and later expanded into games and other adaptations. His nonfiction includes political journalism and essays, while his dramatic work includes stage adaptations and the play The White Factory.
