Dee Brown Books in Order

Dee Brown (1908–2002) was an Arkansas-born American historian, novelist, memoirist, and librarian. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and later served as an agricultural librarian and professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Brown wrote more than twenty-five books, including co-authored illustrated histories with Martin F. Schmitt, historical novels, juvenile works, and narrative histories. His best-known book, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, presents the history of nineteenth-century westward expansion from Native American perspectives.
