David Skilton is an English literary scholar and emeritus professor at Cardiff University. His research focuses on nineteenth-century English fiction, especially Anthony Trollope, Victorian literary culture, literary illustration, and the representation of London. He was general editor of the Trollope Society's collected novels and has authored major studies of Victorian fiction while editing numerous nineteenth-century novels and scholarly collections.
