David Sedaris is an American humor writer best known for personal essays, memoir, short fiction, diary writing, and comic cultural observation. His major essay collections include Barrel Fever, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls, Calypso, Happy-Go-Lucky, and The Land and Its People. He has also written the fable collection Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk, two published diary volumes, children's books, and plays co-written with his sister Amy Sedaris under the name The Talent Family.
