Daniel J. Siegel, M.D., received his medical degree from Harvard University and completed postgraduate training at UCLA in pediatrics and child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. He is founder and director of the Mindsight Institute, president and co-founder of Mind Your Brain, and founding co-director of UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center. A Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, he has written extensively for professional and general audiences and founded the Norton Series on Interpersonal Neurobiology.
