On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life
Darwin's defining and most influential statement of evolution by natural selection.

Author guide
Charles Robert Darwin (1809–1882) was an English naturalist and geologist. His research during the voyage of HMS Beagle and subsequent studies of variation, geology, plants, animals, and human behavior led to his theory of evolution by natural selection, presented most fully in On the Origin of Species. His later works extended evolutionary analysis to human origins, sexual selection, emotions, botany, and earthworm activity.
