Benedict Jacka is an English author of urban fantasy and children's fiction. He studied philosophy at Cambridge University and published his first book, the children's novel To Be A Ninja, in 2005. He is best known for the twelve-volume Alex Verus series and subsequently began the Inheritance of Magic series.
