Nicomachean Ethics
The clearest entry point into Aristotle’s ethics and practical philosophy.

Author guide
Aristotle of Stagira studied at Plato’s Academy, taught Alexander the Great, and founded the Lyceum in Athens. His surviving writings span logic, metaphysics, physics, biology, psychology, ethics, politics, rhetoric, and literary theory. Most surviving texts are lecture materials or school treatises rather than works prepared for public publication. Dates of first publication are therefore generally unknown, and some works—especially the Constitution of the Athenians—have disputed authorship or substantial school involvement.
