Author guide
Annie Barrows is an American author born in San Diego in 1962 and raised in Northern California. She studied medieval history at the University of California, Berkeley, earned an MFA in creative writing from Mills College, and worked as an editor at Chronicle Books. She wrote several nonfiction books for adults under the name Ann Fiery before publishing children's fiction. Her books include the Ivy + Bean, Miri and Molly, Iggy, and Stella & Marigold series, the novels The Truth According to Us and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, which she co-authored with her aunt Mary Ann Shaffer, and several picture and activity books.
