A.D.P. Briggs is Professor Emeritus of Russian Language and Literature at the University of Birmingham and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Bristol. He has written extensively on Russian literature, theatre, and music, with particular distinction as a scholar of Alexander Pushkin. He received two Pushkin Medals for his writing and contributions to Pushkin studies.
